Elijah: Trusting God in Hidden Seasons

1 Kings 17 shows us that obedience means trusting God even when He leads us away from the spotlight and into uncertainty. Elijah learned to depend on God at the brook, and when the brook dried up, he had to trust that the God who provided there would continue to provide. Like George Müller, Elijah reminds us not to place our security in money, plans, or control, but in God Himself. The stream may dry up, but the Source never does.
