New To Us? 

WHY BETHEL EVANGELICAL FREE CHURCH?  Bethel is a warm, caring, and welcoming church. We teach from the Bible and have music that is intended to lead us to worship God. 

Our mission statement reveals our heart: 

Bethel exists to glorify God by inviting people into a life-changing relationship with Christ and His followers. 

Our focus is God, people, and life-change. We hope that by being a part of Bethel, God transforms your life as well.

We have a parking lot immediately beside our building. Please enter the front doors of the church (the doors facing Amboy Road). If you have a stroller or wheelchair, we do have a ramp on the side of the building facing the parking lot.

We begin our morning downstairs with pre-service prayer at 9:15am. Then we have Adult and Children's Sunday school classes at 9:45am. At 11:00am we move upstairs for our worship service. Our services include a welcome, singing songs of praise, and preaching from God's word. We would love to have you join us at any point in the morning!

We sing a mix of contemporary Christian music and traditional hymns. Check out this Spotify playlist to give you an idea of what you would find on a typical Sunday morning. 

Kids love our Children's Sunday school! At 9:45am, this class meets for approximately 45 minutes downstairs in the purple classroom. All teachers have been background checked and are eager to welcome your child. Because we believe the Bible is the foundation of our lives, we teach children's material rooted in the Bible. Currently we are using the Brite curriculum by Awana. Our goal is to come alongside parents by reinforcing the biblical instruction these children receive at home. We love and value all children, and we encourage you to bring them to the worship service with you at 11:00am. As we sing, encourage your child to sing along. During the sermon, we know children tend to fidget and make noise. That's okay! God made them that way! If you'd like help keeping them focused during the service, please borrow a "Family Fidget Pack" available in the lobby. These blue bags contain several activities to keep their hands busy.

Bethel has expositional sermons. We preach directly from the Bible so that we hear what God has to say to us.

We are a church connected to the Evangelical Free Church of America (EFCA). The EFCA is committed to Jesus Christ, to the gospel and to one another. As an association of churches that aligns itself with the statement of faith, we are distinct yet deeply connected. More than 1300 EFCA churches currently exist with efforts to plant even more. 

The evangelical part of our name means that we are committed to the gospel of Jesus Christ as revealed in the Bible. The Bible is our authority for how we live our lives and how we operate as a church. 

The free part of our name reveals our commitment to the local assembly of the church. Each member church of the EFCA is autonomous.
